Ultra Care Corp Cottle Nasal Speculum – Fiber Optic assists surgeons to examine and treat diseases in the nose, like bleeding. Therefore, the instrument helps remove foreign bodies in the nasal cavity or place packs to stop the blood. During the exam, you can also take a biopsy to detect tumors or infections.
Surgeons place the cottle speculum to widen the nares as they look at the nasal walls. Therefore, we designed its grip handles with a long profile to give dexterity and control. Moreover, the handles of the speculum have outer serrations to enhance your hold.
Doctors can start by placing the closed cone blades in the nares. Then, use the handles to open them slowly. We made the retracting edges of the speculum blades with a blunt outline to prevent tissue injury. In addition, the two blades have a large cone so you can view the nasal cavity clearly.
We designed a complete range of the Cottle Nasal Speculum – Fiber Optic to suit your surgical approaches for your convenience. The nasal speculum has blade sizes from 35mm to 90mm to fit the needs of different patient groups. Furthermore, the shafts are 14.5 cm long so you can see the blades directly.
